Our Care Services
Assisted Living
Assisted living residents are those who do not need skilled nursing care, but may need assistance with some aspects of daily life. This can include personal care such as dressing and grooming, monitoring of health, safety, and overall well-being, coordination of outside health care providers, assistance with medication, companionship, and more.
Our assisted living residents at Morningside of Camden live in their own private apartment within our community so that they have the support and services they need, while continuing to be as independent and active as possible.
Short-term Stays
Morningside of Camden also offers short-term stays for seniors who need care after a hospital stay, or when family members travel out of town or simply need a short respite break from the stresses of caregiving.
Short-term stays can vary from a week to months. Short-term guests enjoy housekeeping services, dining, community activities, transportation and other amenities, as well as coordination of any necessary medical care and help with daily living activities.
In-House Rehabilitation
Morningside of Camden offers in-house therapy to our residents. The Weston Group, one of the nation’s largest providers of physical, occupational, and speech therapy to long term care providers, has a dedicated team who works with the residents of our community. Leading the team is long time Kershaw County resident Aaron Munn, who has been a PTA for many years and with his work at Kershaw Health, has provided therapy for many of our residents.
With in-house therapy, our residents may be able to bypass the route of a traditional rehab setting after a hospital stay. Statistics show that familiar surroundings promote quicker healing and our residents tell us they want to be where they know their surroundings. We offer the same quality rehab services found in those more clinical settings.
